Well this is it folks! We really are mad! We are going to do it!
I am sure you are thinking "How can they afford to do that? but that has never stopped us in the past!
In a weeks time we will be on the Hull to Zeebrugge overnight ferry, the start of our adventure! All our destinations from Leeds to Venice are planned and booked, all we have to do is get in the car and drive! (Easy!) We will drive from Zeebrugge to Strasbourge and stay overnight, then on to Milan where we will stay ovenight at Deborah's (Keiths sister). Then on to Lake Garda and overnight at Sheilas (Liz's sister). then on to Venice and take the overnight ferry to Corfu arriving on Wednesday 6th June.
In anticipation of Pippa and Adam being home alone for the next 3 months we have made a concerted effort to empty the fridge, freezer and the booze cupboard to save them and their friends from over indulgence while we are away! (and then we are going to spend their inheritance while we are away too! Hee Hee)
In preperation for this 3 month sojurn in our lives I have had my hair done, very shaggy just come off the beach look (actually it's more Suzie Quatro!) and Keith has had a tattoo done! So now he really looks like a beach bum (although probably not so much 'beach') Not most peoples priority I'm sure, but this is Liz and Keith we are talking about here.
We are taking everything but the kitchen sink (although it is tempting?) Marco Polo probably travelled lighter. A bit like Noah we appear to be taking 2 of everything so we don't run out of anything (I am sure there are shops over there?) Our car will probably resemble either the Ark or Dr Who's tardis.
Keith says "My bags are packed, I'm ready to go, I hate to wake you up to say goodbye" (John Denver) I am surprised he is not sat waiting by the door with his coat on ready to go like an old man would!!

We will blog as often as we can and when I have worked out how to do it, we will post lots of photos too! (I promise I won't put any photos of Keith either in his thong or without it!)
